The challenge facing today’s IT Operations teams is monitoring legacy infrastructure and applications while moving forward with new technologies such as virtualization, orchestration, automated provisioning, CMDB and more... all while balancing the needs of the business, customer demands, and the timelines necessary to make it all work. Cobbling together Elemental Management Systems (EMS) and point solutions is no longer an effective strategy as we migrate to clouds and Hybrid IT. Offering siloed capabilities at best, these tools are unable to provide a holistic view of the environment, and when service disruptions occur, resolution becomes a painfully long and labor-intensive process. The new era demands a new approach that provides for true unified monitoring - not just a unified view or single-pane-of-glass.
